The Tesla owner promotes drinks drunk on full self-driving in video

A Tesla owner admitted to video that he drives drunk on full self-driving (FSD) -The shows that Tesla is not doing enough to prevent abuse of his driver assistant system.

The 29-year-old personality on social media Landon Bridges went to comedian Bert Kreischer’s cooking show ‘Something Burning’ this week.

During the show they drank, and Bridges admitted to being intoxicated. While he was visible intoxicated, he accepted another drink from Kreischeir and then added:

“Do you know what is the biggest game election for me in 2025? I bought a Tesla and it has autopilot.”

Then he looked suggestively at Kreischer – suggested that you can use it when you are intoxicated.

Kreischer replied, “Does it work like that?” – suggests it’s good enough to use while he was intoxicated – and then said with a drunken voice, “Tesla, take me home.”

The only right answer here would be: “No, it is a driver assistant system and the driver is always responsible for the vehicle and therefore they cannot be drunk to oversee the system.”

Instead, Bridges said:

Yes. That’s the problem. That’s literally the problem. I’m going for it. I press the home button (in the navigation system) and as long as you look forward are you at home.

Then he suggested that Kreisher, who is known for his heavy drink, should consider getting a Tesla with full self -driving.

Here is the part of the episode where they have the conversation:

This is crazy. He admits openly to a potential crime on a YouTube show. The way he thinks proves that Tesla does not do enough to communicate to its owners that FSD is not a self -driving system, but rather a driver’s assistant system that requires the driver’s full attention, which means sober, at any time.

He says “autopilot”, but the way he describes that the system points out that it is “full self -driving (monitored)” as Autopilot would not be able to take you through surface streets to take you home.

The names of the ADAS systems themselves are confusing, as shown in Bridges, a new Tesla owner who is unable to distinguish between autopilot and FSD.

Tesla has been extremely careless in how it discusses its system in public.

For example, tweeted Tesla recently that “FSD is monitored giving you back time”:

This suggests that you can do something else while driving, but this is not true based on the car manufacturer’s own warnings and user manual. The driver should always be aware of the vehicle’s driving and be ready to take control.

It is a direct contrast to how Tesla discusses FSD before the court after being sued for the many accidents involving autopilot and full self -driving.

In court, Tesla is quick to remind everyone that the driver is always responsible for the vehicle and that despite his name, full self-driving is only a level 2-driver assistant system, not a level 3-5 automated driving system.

Tesla has to bring the same energy to its communication with buyers. Otherwise, it contributes to these morons thinking they can use FSD drunk.

I hope Bridges realize that carelessness and danger to his behavior and suggest that others, like Kreischer, should do it.

But it wouldn’t be the first time a Tesla owner would think it ok to use FSD while he was intoxicated. We even learned about a crash in 2022, when a Tesla employee decided to use FSD, according to a witness, after day drinking, and his driving ended in a crash and left him dead.

Yes, FSD can perform all the tasks related to driving, but it cannot do it reliably enough over long distances without driver intervention, which means it is not a self -driving system. It can do the worst at the worst time and if the driver is not ready to prevent it, it could mean death.
